A microinfusion facial works entirely in the top layer of the skin. Very fine needles stamp a shallow grid of channels into the surface and deposit a dilute blend of Botox, hyaluronic acid and vitamin C there. Pores look smaller, shallow lines soften, and the surface reflects light more evenly.

Microinfusion Facial
01

What Is Microinfusion?

A microinfusion facial is a non-surgical facial rejuvenation treatment that delivers a dilute blend of Botox, hyaluronic acid and vitamin C into the uppermost layer of the skin. A head of very fine needles opens a shallow grid of channels across the treated area and leaves the blend just beneath the surface. Pore size, surface texture and fine lines sit in that layer, which is where the blend works. The hyaluronic acid holds water in the surface, and the very small dose of Botox softens fine lines from the top down without reaching the depth of the muscles that carry expression. Micro-dosing Botox this superficially is an off-label use, and it is explained at the consultation. The effect eases off as that top layer renews itself.

Microinfusion Facials at Beauty and Fly

Microinfusion facials at the Bronxville and Bridgehampton offices are performed by Catherine Curtin, MSN, FNP-C. The dilution is based on the barrier condition, oil production and thickness of your skin, with a conservative first blend and adjustments to dilution and coverage at the next treatment.

03

Is a Microinfusion Facial Right for You?

  • A microinfusion facial suits adults whose main concerns are visible pores, rough surface texture, dullness or shallow lines on the cheeks and around the mouth. It is also booked ahead of an event for a smoother finish.

  • It addresses enlarged pores, uneven tone, mild crepiness and fine lines, treated mostly across the cheeks and nose. The eyelids and the thin skin under the eye are outside the usual treatment area.

  • Medical history, medications and barrier condition are reviewed at the consultation, and the treatment is postponed when the skin is not ready for channels opened through it. Strong retinoids and exfoliating acids are paused beforehand, with guidance given at booking.

What Are the Benefits of a Microinfusion Facial?

The surface looks smoother and more even, pores and shallow lines are refined, and the face keeps moving the way it always has. Skin feels plump and hydrated straight away, and the smoothing continues through the first week. Mild pinkness is typical, and light makeup is usually fine later the same day. Each treatment in a series refines texture and radiance a little further than the one before. Cost depends on how much of the face is treated and how much hyaluronic acid the blend carries, and it is quoted in person once Catherine has examined your skin. Consultations are complimentary and there is no deposit.

What This Facial Is For

Where Microinfusion Helps Most

Visible Pores and Rough Texture

Visible Pores and Rough Texture

Enlarged pores and rough patches are hardest to ignore in overhead light, which is where most people first notice them. A dilute Botox and serum blend, held very superficially, refines that top layer so makeup stops catching on it.

Treatments+

The work stays in the uppermost layer of skin, because that is where pores and texture live. Refine that surface and light reflects evenly across it.

Causes+

Pore size is largely inherited, and oil production widens the opening further. Add a layer of dead surface cells and the skin reads rough.

Soft glow, minimal downtime

You leave slightly pink, and the skin feels plump and hydrated straight away. The pinpoint marks the device leaves fade fast. Light makeup is usually fine later the same day, and nothing about your schedule needs to change.

Texture and tone refine

Through the first week the Botox, hyaluronic acid and vitamin C work in the layer where they were placed. Pores look smaller and shallow lines lose their edge. In daylight the surface looks smoother, and your face still moves the way it always has.

Results Across a Planned Series

Each round builds on the last

This treatment works as a sequence. The first blend stays conservative. Catherine watches how your skin answers it, then adjusts the dilution and the coverage next time. Each round refines texture and radiance a little further than the one before it.

How the Blend and Depth Are Chosen

Barrier First

How the Blend and Depth Are Chosen

Catherine Curtin, MSN, FNP-C, examines the skin barrier before a blend is chosen. Opening channels through inflamed or compromised skin can irritate it further, so when the barrier needs repair, the facial is postponed and skincare is addressed first.

The examination covers skin thickness, barrier condition, medications and how your skin heals, before the dilution and depth are chosen. Catherine records which dilution you had and how your skin responded, so your next treatment starts from that.

Catherine has nearly 20 years of experience in aesthetic injectables. That experience sets how dilute the blend is, how shallow each pass stays and how much of the face is treated.

Dilution is the first decision, and the rest follows from it. Catherine then sets how much hyaluronic acid goes into the mix and how many passes each area gets, and both come from your skin. Two people with the same complaint leave with different blends.

Treatment Process

Your Microinfusion Facial, Step by Step

A microinfusion facial takes one appointment. The stamp is a small part of it: most of the visit is the examination, choosing your dilution, numbing and aftercare. Here is each step, consultation through aftercare.

Step 01 · Consultation

Deciding the Dilution

Catherine takes your history, reviews medications and contraindications, and examines the skin for thickness, oil production and which lines are etched into the surface. That examination decides how dilute the blend is and how much of the face is treated. She also asks what dates you are working toward before the appointment is booked.

Before the First Pass

What Gets Decided Before Your Skin Is Treated

The amount of Botox in the blend and how much of the face is treated are both decided at the consultation, from what the examination of your skin shows.

Matched to you

On most faces the passes concentrate on the cheeks and the nose, where pores and texture show most. The eyelids and the very thin skin under the eye are not part of the usual treatment area.

Medical-Grade Formulations

Dilute blend

The blend is medical-grade and very dilute: Botox with hyaluronic acid and vitamin C, held in the top layer of skin. At that depth it is working on pores and fine lines, and it is not placed to relax the muscles that carry your expression.

When the Smoothing Peaks

Guided recovery

The smoothing builds over the days after treatment and peaks several days in. Catherine gives that peak day at the consultation, so an event or a photograph can be timed to it.

FAQ

Microinfusion Facial Questions Patients Ask Most

What patients ask most about the microinfusion facial, how it differs from microneedling, and where it sits inside a non-surgical facial rejuvenation plan.

It is a non-surgical facial rejuvenation treatment done entirely in the top layer of skin. Very fine needles open a shallow grid of channels and deposit a dilute blend of Botox and hydrating serum just beneath the surface. Texture and pore size live in that exact layer, which is why the finish is smoother skin that still looks like yours.

Depth decides it. A microinfusion facial stays in the uppermost layer to deliver the blend, while microneedling with PRP opens deeper channels to stimulate collagen. Catherine uses the facial for texture and radiance, and microneedling for scarring or laxity.

Aquagold is one brand of microinfusion stamp. Catherine uses a different device that works the same way: a grid of hair-fine needles opens shallow channels and carries the blend into the top layer of skin. Here that blend is Botox, hyaluronic acid and vitamin C, mixed for your skin.

It should not. The dose is very small and placed superficially, so it is not intended to reach the muscles that carry your expression. Those sit far deeper than the layer being worked in. What changes is the surface of the skin above them.

The smoothing fades gradually as the top layer of skin renews itself, which is the layer the blend was placed in. That rate of renewal differs from person to person, so Catherine gives the expected window for your skin at the consultation.

Mild pinkness is typical and it fades within a day or two. Most people return to their day and apply light makeup later on. Catherine asks about your calendar first, so any pinkness has gone before your date and the smoother finish is at its best.

It suits you best if visible pores, mild crepiness or general dullness are what bother you. Catherine reads your skin in person and reviews your history before recommending it. If the pigment sitting underneath is the real complaint, a VI Peel treats that pigment.

Catherine sets the interval at your first visit, based on how your skin handled the channels and how much refinement the surface still has to gain. Treatments are spaced far enough apart for the skin to recover fully in between, and you leave with the next date booked.

Two things set the number: how much of the face is treated, and how rich the blend is. A full face with a generous hyaluronic acid load costs more than the cheeks and nose alone. Catherine quotes you in person once she has seen your skin. The consultation is complimentary and there is no deposit.

Come with clean skin if you can, and pause strong retinoids or exfoliating acids beforehand. When you book, Catherine gives you guidance specific to the products you already use, because stopping the wrong one does nothing useful.

Several days ahead, so the pinkness has gone and the smoothing has peaked by the date itself. At your consultation Catherine looks at the date with you and counts back from it. Booking early leaves room to adjust; the week of an event leaves little.

Catherine sees patients for this treatment at both offices, with the same blend and the same protocol at each. Book a consultation at whichever is easier for you and she will assess whether a microinfusion facial fits your skin.
