Accessibility Statement

Beauty and Fly wants every patient to be able to read this website, book an appointment and reach the clinic, whatever device or assistive technology they use. This page describes what the site does to support that, where it may fall short, and how to tell Beauty and Fly when something does not work for you.

Standard

The site is built to follow the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) 2.2 at Level AA, the standard referenced by the Americans with Disabilities Act and by New York State. Conformance is reviewed when pages are added or redesigned.

What the Site Does

• Every page can be navigated and operated with a keyboard alone, and the element that has focus is visible.
• Headings, lists, landmarks and link text are written so that a screen reader can read the page in order and announce where each link goes.
• Images that carry meaning have text descriptions. Decorative images are hidden from assistive technology.
• Text and background colours meet the WCAG contrast minimum, and text can be enlarged to 200 percent in the browser without losing content.
• Motion is reduced for visitors whose device has the reduce-motion setting switched on.
• Forms label every field, and errors are described in words next to the field they belong to.
• The site works on phones, tablets and desktop screens without horizontal scrolling.

Known Limits

• Booking calendars and some forms are provided by a third-party scheduling service inside an embedded frame. Beauty and Fly cannot change their code. If a booking page does not work with your assistive technology, call or email and the clinic will book the appointment for you.
• Before-and-after photographs show results that are visual by nature. Each one carries a short description, and Catherine can describe any case in more detail at your consultation.
• Some videos do not yet have captions or transcripts. They are being added as the videos are updated.

In the Clinic

If you need an accommodation for a visit, such as extra time, a support person in the room, materials in large print or help with forms, tell Beauty and Fly when you book and it will be arranged. Questions about physical access to either office are answered by phone.
